This warranty covers bicycle products manufactured by or for Shimano Europe BV, High Tech Campus 92, 5656 AG Eindhoven, The Netherlands (the "Shimano Products").
WARRANTY PERIOD
Shimano warrants that the Shimano product is free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal conditions and reasonable use:
for two years for all Shimano products except those of the Dura-Ace and XTR brand;
for three years for Dura-Ace and XTR branded products only;
from the original date of retail purchase.
WARRANTY EXCLUSION:
This warranty does not apply to:
a Shimano product that has been modified or repaired by anyone other than an authorized Shimano dealer;
a Shimano product that has been used for rental or commercial purposes;
a Shimano product that has had its Shimano marking or serial number defaced or removed;
damage resulting from anything other than defects in materials or workmanship, including but not limited to accident, abuse, misuse, neglect, improper assembly, improper repair, improper maintenance, alteration, alteration, or other abnormal, excessive, or inappropriate use ;
damage incurred during the shipment of the Shimano product;
products not manufactured by or for Shimano (whether or not packaged or sold with the Shimano product at the time of purchase); and
damage resulting from the use of products that are non-conforming or incompatible with the Shimano product;
damage resulting from normal wear and tear, including but not limited to damage or deterioration of the surface finish, aesthetics or appearance of the Shimano product.
This warranty expressly provides for the repair or replacement of a non-conforming Shimano product and is the sole remedy of the warranty. Any other remedy or damages otherwise applicable are excluded, including, without limitation, incidental and consequential damages.
WARRANTY HANDLING
To make a valid claim under this warranty, please return the Shimano product to an authorized Shimano dealer, preferably the dealer from whom it was purchased, along with the original dated receipt.
If, upon inspection, Shimano recognizes that the Shimano product is defective, Shimano will (at its option) repair or replace the Shimano product free of charge.
GENERAL PROVISIONS
This warranty is only valid in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Russia. This warranty is governed by the laws and regulations of the country or state in which the Shimano product was purchased. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and those rights may vary by country or state. Ask your dealer for more information about the warranty conditions that are specific to the country where you purchased your Shimano product.
This warranty does not affect your statutory rights.
Shimano reserves the right to change this limited warranty without notice.
